Day 11
From Katie McNerney
Today, Wednesday, was our last full day of formal teaching with our clients. We were happy to welcome Brett, who presented the final two P’s, People and Process. David, Joey, Richard, Larry, and Paul (see picture) acted out the parable of the workers in the vineyard (Mt 20:1-16). Their performance was so well received, they have decided to stay in Indonesia and pursue their acting careers full time. They plan to try out for of one reality tv show here in which Westerners take on the roles of Indonesian works, such as tuk tuk drivers (see picture) and spice vendors. The prize is 100,000 rupiah (~US$10).

Amy showed her true speaking talents again with a thought-provoking presentation on the topic of affirmations. Several clients commented on how her words sincerely impacted them. Her client, Cakra, went to the store at lunchtime and bought a cake to celebrate his birthday.

Each client took time to think about the number of people they interact with in their family, church, business, and community. It was encouraging to see so many of them realize that they have the potential to make a major impact on Indonesia.
In the afternoon, the clients got together in their Triplets, the small groups in which they will meet after the end of the venture. We encourage our clients to meet regularly to share their repurposing experiences. For many of our clients who are business owners or entrepreneurs, they haven’t had time to cultivate friendships with other businesses. This structured network will provide opportunities to connect and share networks.
We wrapped up the day in prayers of thanksgiving to God. He has shown up in big ways every day during this venture, and we are grateful to Him and His powerful work.
