Final Day Presentation

Hi all,
Wonderful to get back again
The last day of the Jakarta venture 20th Nov 09 was great and exciting
We started @ about 12.30 noon with an exemplary buffet lunch @ the Grand Sahid Jaya Hotel, which was well represented by the clients and some of their family, friends and employees.
A brief worship session was lead by Juni, the Indonesian consultant.
At 2.00pm the presentation began: the consultants for each client was given time to briefly introduced the clients before the clients gave the presentation on their top 3 Ps, personal / spiritual and social impact their businesses will make in the near future.
Each client presentation was followed by prayer for them by both their consultants – , followed by the client being commissioned as a “Market place Minister”.
Each client was given an attractive Institute “venture participation certificate”
Each client was also given a gift packet, which had “The rēp bicycle” – a miniature working model( I tried pedaling it and it worked, even the stand was), which had the rēp Indonesia logo on it, a convergence book and the Institute puzzle.
Finally, Gareth and Evonne were thanked and prayed for as they headed the venture and coordinated the local arrangements respectively
Dr. Suparno & Errol thanked everyone and after prayer the venture formally came to an end.
We then moved to the Wang’s restaurant -  a modern Chinese cuisine just across the road for the alumni dinner, which was well attended.
A pack of gifts was given to each of the travelling and the local consultants.
Errol thanked all and we closed with prayer
The consultants started moving homeward later, both local and international

Nov 19 Blog

This is a new venture, a new beginning for me. But this might not be new for another person in this group, yet all of us had experienced some new things at the venture.

Especially, this is adventure for me because I didn’t realize there is a famous actor among our team, who known as “Jacky Chan”. J lol. At first, I thought Jacky and Garreth are twins but after I took a closer look, I found out they are not! As for me, I have a great partner from India-Giju. Michelle always said Giju-Juni maybe because of the ‘Ju’ words similarity. After spent some time partnered with Giju, I feel like my head is moving as if I am dancing and talking at the same. It was an awesome partnering so far!

Gosh….today is the first unstructured day with all clients, so I can sense every consultant were rushing to finish up what things need to finish before presentation tomorrow. As Me and Giju, we tried to do the same things with our clients. Rush, rush, rush….

and our time almost up!! I feel a bit sad after spending 2 weeks with clients and the whole rep team. But then again, God will continue to do great things after this venture .Yipeee…

Anyway, I am looking forward for tomorrow presentation….I GUESS! ;)

 Blessings,

 Juni from Indonesia

We had a great morning of worship. One of the highlight was Juni who is my co-consultant. She was found to be a great song leader and she did a splendid job leading worship. And to her surprise she was volunteered as our worship leader on Friday as well. By the way, Juni is planning to record a secular music album and she has recorded one song already and that sounded quite good to me. So, we have someone from the art and entertainment sector (in fact there are a few in Indonesia). So, please pray for Juni, that God may use her mightily.

The final 2 P’s completed, there was a sigh of relief and accomplishment, though the client deliverables are looming in the horizon.

Then we had these handmade cards made by an underprivileged kids day care center of the church, I went to on Sunday. The team ordered a whopping 250 cards from them and I sure saw the smile on the kids faces in my imagination. God bless the rep team for its generosity.

We went to Jakarta’s biggest mall for dinner. We trooped in as one gang because we have an Australian, a Chinese, an Indonesian, a Malaysian, three Americans & four Indians. Dinner was variety stuff from the food court, which was followed by an adventurous quest for frozen yogurt as the dessert by some of us. To our surprise the yogurt was “sour” (why was it sour?J), anyway some of us had chocolate toppings on our yogurt (guess who??).

Finally, the entire team looked healthier than yesterday, a day of laughter & joy. Thanks to the prayer support!!

God Bless Indonesia - Giju

NOV 17 Blog update

Tuesday the 17th November 2009

We had our morning devotion at 8.30 am. Paul shared on Unity.

Today was prayer and visioning for all our clients. We had two groups praying with our clients separately.

Dr.Suprano, Kim and Richard were in the first team. Meanwhile, Errol, Gareth and Suma lead the other team. The teams were able to encourage our clients by connecting them more closely to God’s vision for their lives and businesses.

In the evening the entire visiting team were invited by one of our past clients here Martha and Budi for dinner. It was a traditional Bali style restaurant called “ Dirty Duck” and the specialty indeed was  Crispy Duck….

Their story was simply amazing and motivating something which all of us would love to hear.

Martha was our 3rd venture client. Budi was a prospective client for the following venture was invited on the last day of the 3rd venture. There they met and Budi invited Martha to speak at his business meeting, and since then they began to see each other and started their relationship. They are married for 2 years now and together they have an 11- months old daughter.

Budi and Martha manage a large scale textile and garment business in Indonesia. Their company has more than 1500 staff in 2 factories. Budi’s mom started this business 30 years ago with a single sewing machine. Her favorite life verse is “Prayer was my only capital”. It is amazing to me that a woman prayer can achieve so much! Today they have clients from all over Europe and US. In fact, their company brand is among the top prestigious line.

Beside their clothing business, they also started a school which their vision is to raise future Indonesian leaders to be firmly rooted on biblical values. They have subsidized funding to help the really needy and talented children who would otherwise have no access to quality education.

It is our honor to spend some time with our past clients and consultants, Budi and Martha because they have to drive 4 hours just to meet us and take us to a nice dinner.

Blessings,

Ashwanthi Miranda

Over the weekend and more...

Over the weekend….

I can’t believe we are now halfway through the venture. Over the weekend we had teambuilding fun activities for the group. We went to the “miniature park” on Saturday. That was quite an experience for me! We saw the crocodile was fed with chicken and the “Comodo Dragon” was fed with guinea pigs. The zookeeper tried to make this trip quite an experience for us by feeding these animals when we were there. The highlight though is some of us are brave enough to have the gigantic python to wrap around them. After visiting the theme park, we all went to do some shopping at one of the largest Jakarta retails mall. Some of us got quite a bargain from there. Not to my surprise, we had haven’t enough so we requested Evonne, our local rep office coordinator to take us to another mall to get some authentic Indonesia souvenirs. The shopping was fun and everyone got their shopping list done. Kim, Rich and Giju went back to the hotel because they had to prepare an early morning start. For dinner, Paulus took the rest of us to a very nice Chinese restaurant which owed by his cousin. Few of us are adventurous eaters who would like to eat frog legs and I am proud to say I am one of them, and they were delicious! Everyone had a decent meal and came back to the hotel exhausted because it was a long day for all of us.

On Sunday morning, we split in different groups to go to different churches. I went to the Pastor Andres’s church with Evonne, Michelle and Gareth; Pastor Andres is our rep past client and his church is a well- structured for about 1200 total of congregation in 3 services. We arrive early in the morning at 7:30 and stayed for all 3 services. Gareth was asked to give his testimony on how God had called him into full time ministry at rep. Michelle preached for all three services started from 7:45am till 12:30pm! Her message was so powerful that many people were touch and responded to her altar calls! Praise God for His mighty hands and faithfulness!

Nov 16, Mon

Can’t believed this is our second week to our venture! Today is a structure day and all of us anticipated a full day. I personally had a rough night because my laptop was infected by virus and shut down on me last night. All of the team members were very concerned about me and asking me how am I holding up and prayed for me. What a loving community I have! Through many prayers finally Rich was able to revive my laptop. Most importantly I was able to retrieve the data of my scorecard. Yay, Lord!

In the morning session, Dr Suprano spoke to us about “Household” and “Profit”. Later, in the afternoon, we have Michelle and Robin talked about “Place” and Enroll talked about “Partnering”. The last session is Lemon leadership presented by Kim. Our clients were very engaged and intrigued by Lemon leadership profiling. It seems like they can’t get enough of it and wanted more. Some of our clients have showed interest to sign up for the Saturday whole day session of “Lemon”. Kudos Kim!

To wrap up the day as usual, we had a team debriefing but ended up with a special prayer session for those who don’t feel 100% of their normal selves. I personally felt sick throughout the day and knew that I am coming down with a stomach virus. I took some medications and went to bed early that night. Hopefully, I will feel better tomorrow!
